One of the biggest complaints about wearing a fielders mask is that it makes it impossible to wear a hat or visor. Using a fielders mask players have to choose between shading their eyes or increasing their safety and confidence. Not anymore.
The new RIP-IT Defense with Blackout Technology breaks through this limitation with our newly designed detachable visor. The new visor easily and seamlessly attaches to the top of the RIP-IT Defense. The visor is constructed to have the same look and feel as a standard softball visor. That means, when you put it on, it will feel no different than when you put on your visor. It just feels natural.
Best of all, the RIP-IT Defense visor can be easily attached and removed from the Defense over and over again. It gives you the flexibility to use it if you need it, or take it off when you don’t. No screws, clips, nuts, or bolts. Just pull it off or stick it on. It’s that simple.

When we were designing the new RIP-IT Defense visor, we also wanted to make it backwards compatible with the original RIP-IT Defense. To do this we have eliminated the pad replacement kit and are introducing the new visor upgrade kit. This upgrade kit allows the original RIP-IT Defense to utilize the new visor just as easily and intuitively as the new RIP-IT Defense with Blackout Technology.
